Breath Hold

Static breath holding is a great tool for improving awareness, increasing relaxation at depth and increasing bottom time.
Most freedivers do not place enough emphasis on this discipline as part of the training cycle and miss a tool that can give them an edge.
Over the years, we have come across a lot of opinions and approaches regarding breath holding, experimented with them all (well, maybe not all of them but a lot) and developed a series of principles that work over time.

  • How are you supposed to breathe before a hold?
  • Do you need a warm-up?
  • Do you need to pack?
  • How far should you push?
  • Do you even need air in the lungs for a long hold?
  • Where do you lock the air during a hold?
  • Is it important what you think about during a hold?

During the workshop we will talk about all these topics and many others.
The workshop is for anyone who wants to take their apnea to the next level.
