My son and I completed Apnea Australia's Stage A course with instructor Lewis Jones recently. While it was my son's first ever freediving course, I myself have completed courses with two other schools. I found every aspect of the course to be superior my other experiences. The material was covered in greater depth, and included material that isn't introduced until later stages with other schools. All aspects of freediving were covered, including focus on static and dynamic apnea. The course included a very detailed and well-presented text book that is excellent for follow-up reading to help retain the wealth of information that the course provided. The instructor Lewis Jones was very knowledgeable and thorough, and I would highly recommend Apnea Australia to anybody starting out in Freediving as well as those who would like to refresh their knowledge and possibly even fill in some gaps. I'm looking to completing Stage B!

I want to thank you for making the Apnea Australia's Stage A Course available in WA. I cannot articulate the full extent to which I enjoyed it. I can say without reservation that it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Thanks to your expertise on the course, I continue to learn more about myself each day - as a diver and in general.

Thanks for a fantastic course. You've given me the knowledge to progress safely and confidently. I've told all my friends I won't freedive with them until they have completed Stage A with Apnea Australia including my wife. A big change from someone who has spent the last 10 years diving mostly alone. The physiology is fascinating and is a huge assistance to staying relaxed. My conclusion is that free diving is more serene than extreme. As far as improvements I would have liked to have done more dives on Sunday but the weather was against us otherwise a well thought out and structured course. I would also be interested in group days from time to time organised by Apnea Australia to dive with more experienced divers/instructors.
